In a recent radio interview with Chris Cornell and Timbaland on KIIS FM in Los Angeles (see interviews page), Timbaland mentions Sept 23 as a projected release date for forthcoming album Scream "right now" - although he admits "anything is possible".

Chris Cornell was recently in the Star Lounge at KYSR Star 98.7 in Los Angeles to play five new songs from his forthcoming album, Scream, and perform three songs live. According to a fan who was there, the album songs were the same as those already previewed on Planet Radio (Long Gone, Scream, Ground Zero, Never Far Away and Watch Out) and the songs played live by Chris, Peter and Yogi were Can't Change Me, Billie Jean and Black Hole Sun (thanks scarren). The show will air on Thursday August 14 and will stream at http://www.987fm.com.

Also, you can tune into KIIS FM 102.7 at 8.30pm the same day to hear Jojo interview Chris live - that streams at http://www.kiisfm.com.

Yogi also left this message for fans on MySpace...

"Hiya Folks ~ In Denver this eve, headed to Council Bluffs shortly. The tour has been wicked. Chester, from Linkin Park has been singing Hunger Strike with Cornell nightly. What a treat! Was home in LA for a couple days, we debuted "Long Gone" on the Tonight Show. Went great. Cornell, Pete and I recorded a KISS FM radio acoustic show yesterday, 5 songs off the album were premiered. It's gonna be big.... Enjoy recent pics from the Projekt Rev tour in my "2008" folder. For you Run Through the Desert fans, We're finishing the album in Sept PERIOD!

Peace, Yogi"

Apologies for the lack of updates over the past ten days or so - sometimes we all just hit one of those weeks when every aspect of our lives needs us at the same time! Trying to combine freelance work for multiple clients with a busy family and social life can occasionally mean feeling, like Bilbo Baggins, "like butter scraped over too much bread"! Here's what's been happening in CC World since the beginning of the month.

Chris appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night (8th) and performed Long Gone from his forthcoming album Scream, with his usual touring band.

He's announced two more live shows - a headline show on August 29 at the House of Blues, San Diego, and on August 31 he's playing at the Auto Club Speedway Miller Lite Rock N’ Racing concert in San Bernardino County, CA on Sunday, August 31, 2008, prior to the running of the Pepsi 500. Cornell will play in the Speedway’s Opportunity, California FanZone at 2.30 pm on race day, and admission to the concert is free for all Pepsi 500 ticket holders.

And this photo is rumoured to be the cover shot for Scream...
