In his 5 December blog, Chris told fans "Just finished a Canadian tour. Very cool. I introduced my wife to Kamloops and other somewhat remote places that even I hadn't been to in years." Looks like the trip to play at this large-capacity ice hockey arena was well worth it even if there were empty seats at the back.

I'm a huge CC Fan and was totally shocked when It was announced he was coming to my hometown. He played amazing last night, even better than I was expecting. I was worried that when he saw some of the empty seats in the back that he would be discouraged and not play as well as in other cities, but I was wrong. Chris went out there and gave it his all.

I remember watching Audioslave's LIVE FROM CUBA DVD and noticing that Chris was having a hard time with his voice, you could hardly watch him because it almost looked painful when he tried to hit those notes. Well, Those problems have since Vanished because not only was he hitting all those notes with ease and without strain, on some of the Audioslave songs (which he did a lot of that night) he was going even higher than on the album. Wicked!!

In the beginning the audience wasn't really going as wild as you would expect, Chris worked his ass off to get them going and by the end he had won everybody over and everyone was throwing a lot of energy his way. He opened with a new song PART OF ME, a bit of a dangerous move on his part... due to all the mixed feelings of his new album, but I thought it was great. After that he did a couple off "Carry On", NO SUCH THING and YOU KNOW MY NAME. I remember every song played but I can't remember the order, sorry folks. But I know His encore was IMMIGRANT SONG (He nailed this song.... even though he had his face nearly to the floor reading the lyrics taped on the stage, haha), GROUND ZERO, and then SHOW ME HOW TO LIVE (great high notes at the end.....and thankfully no flicking of the throat).

Before his acoustic set he said how when he was a kid he used to drive through Kamloops with his family and that he always thought it was beautiful here and that he never would have imagined one day he'd be playing at an Arena in Kamloops. His acoustic set consisted of BLACK HOLE SUN (obviously a huge sing along), CAN'T CHANGE ME, LIKE A STONE, and half of DOESN'T REMIND ME (his band came back out to finish the song with him).

my god, what a night! i loved that leather jacket he wore! i completely freaked out when he came out on stage. I also got jealous when i saw that he was giving people high-5s in the front row. i have been a fan of chris ever since i was in-utero. My mom and dad rocked to Superunknown before I was born, so I'm a second-generation Chris Cornell fan. Keep on rockin', chris!!! WE LOVE YOU!

Chris Rocked Kamloops. I drove from Kelowna and back that night ( it was the worst weather!) but it was sooo worth it!!! I've been to MANY concerts and nothing has come close to how amazing his voice was, it was clear and sounded just like his CD's! even though i was in the nose bleeders section i gave'r hell! GOOD show! hope to see him come back again!

I too thought it was an amazing show! I was disappointed to see a lot of empty seats. Alot of people I told Iwas going say WHO? What, how could you not know. Country music lovers maybe. Hunger Strike brought a tear to my eye. I have never heard anyone who can sing like Chris. He cannot be imitated. I think that's why whatever type of music he sings, he just has such an amazing voice, that he can do any type of music. Just don't do country! Please! The crowd went wild with Spoonman. I didn't want it to end. And Led Zeppelin Immigrant Song, I hate to admit, he sounded better than Robert Plant, who is also one of my all time favorite singers before Chris. Please come again!

What an amazing show that was last night. Really awesome that he played Soundgarden and Audioslave hits as well as an acoustic section. I thought his voice on Temple of the Dog especially was unreal, still hitting those high notes to perfection. Easily the best concert i've ever been to and Imanaged to get a guitar pick souvenir to top it off. Searching with my good eye closed was a great choice on the setlist, such a good song and one of my favorite Soundgarden songs. Hopefully Chris comes back next year as the guy is an amazing singer.
